Dr. Balamurugan Balakrishnan is a prominent teacher of Economics & Management. He is a dedicated academician by profession with more than two decades of experience in Teaching and administration. He has a triple master's degree in economics, Public Administration, and Business administration and a doctorate in Industrial Economics. He is presently employed at a government college in Tiruchirappalli. His zeal towards research is evident through numerous paper publications that he has done at the National and International Levels. He has travelled multiple times abroad for academic deliberations. He has published in 10 national and 12 international journals and 48 conference proceedings which include 12 international and 36 national level conferences, including IIT Delhi, Maharaja Sivaji University Gujarat, IIM Kozhikode, University of Kelaniya Columbo, Chulalongkorn University Bangkok, and Clute Institute of Research, Florida-USA. He has been passionate about every responsibility he has taken up. The Indian Society for Technical Education, Indian Red Cross Society, Madras Management Association, Society for Educational Technology, Research and Development, and Fellowship of UWA all recognise him as a life member. Dr.Balamurugan Balakrishnan is not just a resource person- A resourceful person for 382 in-person speeches, 67 online talks, and 28 FDPs, including a few talks in AIR in ‘Pudupathayil Poruladaram’. As a Trainer of Life Skills Management, He has taught 1450 individuals in total across a variety of organisations including BHEL-HRDC, SBI Learning Centre, Indian Medical Association, ITCOT, Entrepreneurship Development Institute, and UGC HRDC of Bharathidasan University. He often acts as a trainer at IAS/IPS training centres. He has also had experience in serving as a Resource Person for the Quality Improvement Programme (QIP) of the Tamil Nadu State Council for Higher Education. He is a motivational coach for Rotarians and Lions Club members in many locations. He has received numerous honours, including the Certified Soft Skill Trainer from the Tamil Nadu government, the SIX SIGMA Green Belt designation from Juran Academy, the Best Speaker Award from the USA, the Travel Scholarship from APRIA in Singapore, the Lifetime Achievement Award, the Best Assistant Professor Award from Mayas Publications, the Best Paper Award from the state of Florida, and more.
