Abstract
Educated employment, which can be explained as people with education not being able to find work relevant to their field of study. Slow economic and recession has proved to be a major cause. Along with this, the Indian job market has shrunk, recent data shows. According to an article by The Economic Times “India‟s labour market shrunk by 2.1 million in August on the back of decline in salaried jobs while the labour force increased by 4 million, resulting in an increase of over 6 million in the number of unemployed in the country last month, the Centre for Monitoring Indian Economy said”. Another one of the primary driving forces of education unemployment, however, is the low quality of education provided in colleges with zero to minimal updating and not keeping up with the
current skills and practical knowledge that are in-demand by including them in the course of study. All of this culminates to underpayment of skilled labour and employees struggling to keep up with the rising cost of living in the country. The aim of this paper is to discuss all the above-mentioned factors in detail and how they all influence each other.
