ABSTRACT

Women's empowerment is related to women's decision-making power, easy access to information, and resource control.Women from an important segment of the labour force and the economic role-played by them cannot be isolated from the frame work of development. Women entrepreneurship development is the instrument of women empowerment. Empowerment leads to self-fulfillment and women become aware of where they are going, what their position is in the society, their status, existence and rights, and women are becoming more empowered, personally and economically through business ownership. Thus, the present study is initiated on empowering women through entrepreneurship development (ED) in emerging economies.Household decision making power and freedom of movement of women vary considerably with their age, education and employment status. It is found that acceptance of unequal gender norms by women are still prevailing in the society. Enterprise assumes an essential part in creating open work door for provincial social orders, giving independent work to the individuals who began up their own particular business and enhancing  financial status of the rustic zone too. Presently ladies’ are additionally intrigued to beginthe  their own business in both the country and urban zones due to defeat neediness, produce family salary and creating Standard of living. Ladies’ are taking an interest in farming, business, and exchange with no social and different limits. Be that as it may, in India, there are numerous social and social restrictions for rustic ladies.
