Fintech and Sustainable Finance: Awareness and Utility of Fintech

Abstract
Global adoption of fintech is rapidly increasing due to its disruptive nature and is largely embraced by participants who are underserved by traditional financial service providers. Fintech is expensive, engulfing a plethora of innovative applications in various services including payments, financing, asset management, insurance, etc. Fintech options enable people to manage their financial operations more conveniently and quickly.There exists a gap of investigating the role of fintech in promoting sustainable finance, green investments, and supporting environmental, social, and governance (ESG). This descriptive research study aims to analyse the awareness level of customers, usage pattern and satisfaction level of customers about regulatory framework in maintaining a fair ecosystem. The area of the study is The Nilgiri district and a convenient sample size of 120 both urban and rural are taken into consideration. With this objective, an extant systematic review was performed using research articles published in peer-reviewed journals for the period 2014–2022 when there has been a burgeoning of interest in fintech globally. The findings of this study contribute to the theoretical constructs of fintech innovations in the financial services industry and show that such innovations play a crucial role in shaping the nature of future of nature friendly business. The results of this study revealed that fintech is utilized to help companies, business owners, and consumers better manage their financial operations, processes, and lives. The study revealed that most of the respondents are using payment applications both rural and urban area in which 12 percentage of the respondents using their own Banking App for fair transaction. Only 30 percentage of the respondents using P2P lending platform in rural area. The level of satisfaction of using the fintech is about 72 percentage. The rating of safety part of Fintech shows that 56 percentage are highly satisfied and 12 percentage are highly dissatisfied due to unawareness of technological aspect. Percentage analysis was used. Chi-squaremethodwas used to make conclusions. H0=There is no significant relation between age and usage of Fintech.H1=There is significant relation between age and usage of Fintech. The calculated value is 88.14, less than table value, therefore accept the null hypothesis and reject the alternative hypothesis. It indicates there is an association between age and usage of every scheme of Fintech. It is suggested that proper awareness program should be provided in rural area and ensure the safety measures about the usage of fintech.
