A Quazi Z Source Based Matrix Converter For Grid Connected Wind Energy Conversion Systems

Issue Abstract

Abstract
In recent decades, Renewable energy has been playing a vital role due to its non-polluting nature, and being environmentally friendly. Especially, Wind Energy System has been providing gigantic power production in and around the world. In this proposed work, a Matrix converter is used between the synchronous generator and the power grid. This Converter helps to control the output voltage for variable wind speed without additional components. Also, this converter controls both the terminal voltage and frequency of the generator to run the turbine at maximum power. The Simulation results have validated the proposed system.
Keywords: Matrix Converter; Wind Energy Systems (WES); Grid; Permanent Magnet Synchronous Generator (PMSG).
