The freight forwarding industry plays a significant role in global trade by ensuring the smooth movement of goods across international markets. Ocean freight operations are one of the most important components of freight forwarding, as they provide cost-effective and efficient transportation for large volumes of cargo. This study titled A Study on Ocean Freight Operations in Freight Forwarding focuses on understanding the operational procedures, challenges, and efficiency of ocean freight activities within the freight forwarding sector. The study examines the various stages involved in ocean freight operations, including booking procedures, documentation, customs clearance, cargo handling, container management, coordination with shipping lines, and final delivery processes The research further analyses the operational challenges faced by freight forwarders such as delays in shipment schedules, port congestion, rising freight charges, documentation errors, regulatory changes, and communication gaps among stakeholders. Primary data for the study is collected through questionnaires and interactions with employees and professionals working in freight forwarding companies, while secondary data is gathered from journals, company reports, websites, and logistics publications.
