Abstract
The E-Commerce in Digital Media examines how digital media companies are evolving to take advantage of the rapid growth of e-commerce among consumers to supply an added revenue stream. The report identifies three primary e-commerce-driven strategies that digital media companies have pursued for growth, and investigates how brands can leverage these strategies to reach consumers as consumption habits both shopping and media change. E-commerce is the activity of buying or selling of products on online services or over the Internet. Electronic commerce draws on technologies such as mobile commerce, electronic funds transfer, supply chain management, Internet marketing, online transaction processing, electronic data interchange (EDI), inventory management systems, and automated data collection systems. Digitization is the process of converting information into a digital formate.
