Empowering Women Entrepreneurs through Digital Technologies in Tenkasi District

Abstract 

The purpose of the study is to learn about the unique experiences, challenges, and opportunities that women-led startups in Tenkasi District face in the AI technology landscape and how artificial intelligence (AI) influences them. Although AI would simplify operations, improve customer interfaces, and facilitate scalable growth for Tenkasi District's female entrepreneurs, several obstacles prevent its widespread use. Women-owned businesses would benefit from self learning capabilities, AI-driven data for marketing forecasts, and a wider customer reach through digital platforms. However, the following obstacles exist: high usage costs, limited access to resources and technical expertise, and ingrained gender biases. Peer networking, improving digital literacy, strengthening the public-private partnership for financial support, and mentoring from technology adopters with experience would be the most important strategies. In order to examine the socioeconomic effects of AI on women-owned businesses in Karnataka, participatory action research and longitudinal studies are required. With this, overcoming these barriers would empower women entrepreneurs to utilize AI skillfully towards achieving growth and contribute toward an economy that becomes more balanced and sustainable by way of gender equality and enhanced economic empowerment in Karnataka's entrepreneurial landscape
