Artificial Intelligence as a Decision Support Tool: An Empirical Analysis of Managerial Decision-Making in Indian Organization

Abstract 

The growth of Artificial Intelligence (AI) has significantly transformed organizational decision-making processes within modern business environments. With the growing availability of digital data and analytical tools, managers are increasingly relying on AI-enabled systems to enhance the productivity and efficiency of decisions. This study explores the influence of Artificial Intelligence on managerial decision-making in Indian organizations. An observational research approach was adopted, and primary data were collected from managers working in different sectors using a Unstructured questionnaire. The study evaluates the role of AI in improving decision speed, accuracy, and strategic effectiveness, while also identifying challenges related to skills, ethics, and organizational acceptance. The findings indicate that AI significantly supports managerial decision-making, although effective implementation requires appropriate training, ethical governance, and change management strategies. The study offers practical insights for managers and policymakers seeking to leverage AI for improved organizational performance.
