Emperor Journal of Finance (EJF) is a monthly peer-reviewed and refereed international research journal published by Mayas Publication. Author Guidelines – Emperor Journal of Finance (EJF)

The following guidelines are adapted from the Mayas Publication author-guideline framework and the published Emperor Journal of Finance format. The publisher describes EJF as a monthly, peer-reviewed, refereed, indexed international research journal. (Mayas)

Author Guidelines

1. Submission of Manuscripts

Emperor Journal of Finance (EJF) invites original research articles and scholarly papers from academicians, research scholars, practitioners, professionals, and students in the areas of Finance and related disciplines.

Authors should ensure that the submitted manuscript is:

Original and unpublished.

Not under consideration by another journal.

Relevant to the aims and scope of EJF.

Written clearly and systematically.

Prepared according to the journal's formatting requirements.

2. Types of Articles

3. Manuscript Format

Manuscripts should be submitted as a Microsoft Word document.

The recommended format is:

Paper size: A4

Font: Times New Roman

Font size: 12 points

Line spacing: Double

Margins: 1 inch on all sides

File format: MS Word (.doc/.docx)

The publisher's author guidelines specify a single Word file using 12-point Times New Roman, A4 paper, double spacing and one-inch margins.

4. Title Page

The title page should include:

Title of the manuscript

Full name of the author(s)

Institutional affiliation

Department and institution

Complete correspondence address

Telephone number, where applicable

Email address of each author

ORCID iD, where available

The publisher's guidelines state that a paper may have a maximum of four authors.

5. Abstract

Each manuscript should contain an abstract of approximately 150–200 words.

The abstract should clearly communicate:

Conclusion and implications

The abstract should be concise and should enable readers to understand the principal contribution of the study without reading the complete article.

6. Keywords

Authors should provide 3–4 keywords immediately below the abstract.

Keywords should be relevant to the subject of the manuscript and should preferably be arranged alphabetically, consistent with the publisher's stated guidelines.

7. Recommended Structure

An empirical research paper may generally follow the structure below:

8. Tables, Figures and Charts

All tables, figures, charts and illustrations should:

Be numbered consecutively.

Have clear and appropriate titles.

Be referred to in the manuscript.

Be presented in a readable format.

Clearly identify the source of data where applicable.

Obtain appropriate permission where copyrighted material is reproduced.

The publisher specifically requires tables and figures to be serially numbered and their sources to be indicated.

9. Research Methodology

Authors should provide sufficient methodological information to enable readers to understand and evaluate the research. Where applicable, manuscripts should clearly state:

Reliability and validity procedures

Ethical considerations

Quantitative results should be reported accurately, including relevant statistical values and significance levels.

10. References and Citation Style

References should be cited consistently throughout the manuscript.

EJF follows the American Psychological Association (APA) style for citations and references. Authors should ensure that:

Every cited source appears in the reference list.

Every reference listed is cited in the manuscript.

Bibliographic details are accurate.

DOI information is included where available.

Online sources contain sufficient information for identification.

The publisher's author guidelines specifically prescribe APA referencing.

11. Originality and Plagiarism

Authors must ensure that manuscripts are original and do not contain plagiarised material.

Manuscripts should not reproduce previously published work without appropriate acknowledgement and permission where required. The journal/publisher states that submitted work should be original and not previously published or simultaneously submitted elsewhere.

The publisher also states that submissions undergo plagiarism screening and identifies a target similarity range in its current journal policy. Authors should therefore check their manuscript carefully before submission.

12. Research Ethics

Authors are responsible for ensuring that their research complies with applicable ethical standards.

Where there is no conflict of interest, authors may state:

15. Funding Declaration

Authors should acknowledge the source of financial support received for conducting the research, where applicable.

If no external financial support was received, an appropriate statement may be included.

16. Use of Artificial Intelligence

Authors remain fully responsible for the originality, accuracy, integrity, and content of their manuscripts.

The publisher's current policy states that AI tools may assist with research or language refinement, but entirely AI-generated manuscripts are not accepted. Any relevant AI assistance should be appropriately disclosed.

17. Peer Review

21. Final Responsibility of Authors

Authors are responsible for the accuracy, originality, ethical integrity, and academic quality of their submitted manuscripts. Submission of a manuscript implies that the authors have read and complied with the journal's submission requirements and publication policies.
