Among the three big cities in Kerala, (Thiruvananthapuram, Kochi & Kozhikode), Thiruvananthapuram is one of the densely populated Districts of Kerala having a population density of 1508 persons/ per Sq.km as per the 2011 census of India. Resultantly the “Physiological density” will have it’s impact on the regional economy of the District of Thiruvananthapuram. The Urban density in the District of Thiruvananthapuram is much higher than the rural density. The respondents may not be true in the survey process due to personal bias so the accuracy of the conclusions may differ. The results of the study can be used by phygital retailers to attract new customers and as well as to retain their existing customers.

If the retailers have to encourage the customers they have to set effective strategies to create positive attitudes and create awareness about various in store retail sales promotion. Primary data were collected from 104 respondents using interview schedule at supermarket in Coimbatore city. Data were collected from customers who have purchased from supermarket at the exit point. The collected data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and Garrett’s ranking technique were used. The study resulted that the sales promotion strategies as increased the bought quantity of the consumers.

A new generation of cultivators is coming forward to employ modern technology to maximize production and offer quality products for consumer acceptability, thus fetching a better price. The study area for the research is Kanyakumari District. For assessing the recent scenario, an exploratory research was conducted. The study is based on primary data collected from 150 cultivators and 160 marketers by quota sampling method. The statistical tools namely, Chi-Square Test and Garrett‟s Ranking Technique were applied. The rating scale – Likert Scaling Technique was also used. This thesis is based on a scientific study at close quarters of the various processing problems faced by flower cultivators and the intermediaries in marketing this perishable and highly sensitive product. It is the hope of the researcher that the Government of Tamil Nadu would take immediate steps to lessen the burden of the traders. A well-established wholesale market is needed in Kanyakumari District to have a positive impact on the development of this sector. The short production cycle of flower crops, makes the country an ideal place for multiplication of planting materials, which need to be explored. The results of this study gives a rational perceptive to Kanyakumari district traders in utilizing this floral marketing theory to make this industry bloom by managing different complexities. The different types of training undergone by the farmers help them to increase the production of flowers and to solve the production and marketing problems.

In taxi service industry, like any other industry, the consumer is always at the centre of all managerial processes forming a focal point around which the business revolves. A company creates products and services with the needs and wants of the consumer in mind. Taxi service industry is one of the fastest growing transportation industries in India and in order to provide excellent service, the industry needs to identify and evaluate the existing products and services, as observed in the industry, finding out what the significant needs and preferences of the consumer are and what leads to customer satisfaction. With this objective this study was conducted to consider the taxi service industry in India and determine the factors affecting customer satisfaction in this industry.

India‟s retail market is expected to grow at a Compound Annual Growth Rate CAGR of 10 per cent to US$ 1.6 trillion by 2026 from US$ 641 billion in 2016. While the overall retail market is expected to grow at 12 per cent per annum, modern trade would expand twice as fast at 20 per cent per annum and traditional trade at 10 percent. Indian retail market is divided into “Organized Retail Market” which is valued at $60 billion which is only 9 per cent of the total sector and “Unorganized Retail Market constitutes the rest 91 per cent of the sector. India‟s Business to Business B2B e-commerce market is expected to reach US$ 700 billion by 2020.Online retail is expected to be at par with the physical stores in the next five years.Service quality can be described as the negotiation process between Millennials Shopper s and service providers where resource allocation and management are done equally to satisfy both party„s interests as Millennials Shopper„s perception of service quality and employee„s job satisfaction are interrelated.     ‘Human Capital’ is considered to be the greatest resource of a nation. The major components among the two are health and education. Nowadays, mere formal education is failing to serve the purpose where there exists a gap between pursued knowledge and employment market requirements. Here comes the role of skill development programmes in blurring of this gap . ASAP Kerala is a joint initiative of the General Education and Higher Education Departments, Government of Kerala. This initiative offers a wide variety of skill development courses in many areas such as accounting, banking and finance, fashion designing, global business process outsourcing, printing technology, emergency medical care, editing floriculturist protected Cultivation and so on. Each course has language training with the object of building up the LSRW skills of the enrolled candidate as well as the skill programme. Each batch from a college will be guided by a Skill Development Executive (SDEs) appointed by the ASAP Directorate. After the formal programme, a hands-on internship of three months period is offered to the enrolled candidate to give them an industry experience. The language skill package is administered by the British Council. One of the major social evil found in the Higher Education system nowadays is ‘educated unemployed’. The roots cause for this issue id the inability to meet the demand of the employment market requirements. Formal education finds no link with the job specifications. Here arises the need for acquiring necessary skills to cope up with the demand of the job market. Hence, imparting such skills through some structured agency becomes inevitable.
