Fuzzy Evaluation of Impact of Lockdown amid Corona Virus on Delhi’s Pollution

  • Abstract

The outbreak of novel Corona virus has been stated as a pandemic by World Health Organisation. The World Health Organisation enunciates to all of the countries in the world to continue efforts that have been effective in limiting the number of cases and slow down the spread of the virus. Social distancing has been addressed as the most effective measure of mitigation. In this direction to suppress social contact, India is under a three week lockdown with around 130 crore people urged to stay in their homes. With rigorous travel restrictions along with shutting down of almost all of the non-essential activities there has been observed a drastic reduction in air pollution in all of the major cities. The present study aimed to interpret the dip in air pollution of Delhi. For this analysis, Fuzzy Inference System of MATLAB has been employed. The simulation results shows a drastic fall in air pollutants PM2.5, PM10 and NO2 levels at all of the sampling sites. This study highlights the impact of lockdown on pollution level along with a suggestion to the government to implement a one day lockdown in 3-4 months to put a check on pollution. Mother Nature is expecting from us through present crisis to reciprocate perfectively and positively.

An Analysis of Different Metaheuristic Approaches for Solving Travelling Salesman Problems

  • Abstract

Travelling Salesman Problem is widely researched optimization problem in computational mathematics as it was originated 6 decades ago. It gives the shortest possible route for the person who is visiting number of cities for a particular purpose so that cost or distance can be minimized. The distances between every two cities will be given. The person has to start from particular city (Home City) and by visiting each and every city exactly once he has to return to his home city. For this purpose a bunch of methods have been proposed since the problem came into existence. Basically there are two main approaches proposed by different authors; Exact Algorithms and Metaheuristic Algorithms. In this article, we will put the light on every metaheuristic approach from different aspects for solving Travelling Salesman Problem (TSM).

Emphasis of Coefficients on the Convergence Rate of Fixed Point Iterative Algorithm in Banach Space

  • Abstract

This paper deals with the fixed point iterative schemes that are being utilized to solve the systems of nonlinear equations in various fields and spaces. The convergence speed of iterative processes is highly focused, calculated and compared with various original methods to check the efficiency of these methods towards its optimal solution. The effect on the speed of convergence by the coefficients included in these iterative algorithms are investigated and analyzed in this manuscript. Moreover, the results on the convergence rate of various fixed point iterative schemes are supported by comparing the convergence rate of these iterative plans using the methodology of interchanging the coefficients of these algorithms. The convergence behaviour of these iterative processes is also shown graphically. In a nut shell, the comparison analysis shows that the coefficients involved in such type of schemes may vary the convergence rate of the schemes towards their fixed points.

Experimental Study on Partial Replacement of Cement by Metakaolin in Glass Fibre Reinforced Concrete

  • Abstract

Concrete is a relatively brittle material, when subjected to normal stresses and impact loads. Tensile strength of concrete is approximately one tenth of its compressive strength. As a result for these characteristics, plain concrete members could not support loads and tensile stresses that occurred, on concrete beams and slabs. Concrete members are reinforced with continuous reinforcing bars to withstand tensile stresses and compensate for the lack of ductility and strength. The introduction of fibres is generally taken as a solution to develop its flexural and tensile strength. Fibre reinforced concrete (FRC) is concrete made primarily of cements, aggregates, and discrete reinforcing fibre. Fibres suitable for reinforcing concrete have been produced from steel, glass, and organic polymers (synthetic fibres). When concrete cracks, the randomly oriented fibres start functioning, arrest crack formation and propagation, and thus improve strength and ductility.

Project Planning & Scheduling

  • Abstract

Large Planning is a general term that sets a clear road map that should be followed to reach a destination. The term, therefore, has been used at different levels to mean different things. Planning involves the breakdown of the project into definable, measurable and identifiable tasks/activities, and then establishes the logical interdependences among them. These plans involve four main steps:
 Performing breakdown of work items involved in the project into activities.
 Identifying the proper sequence by which the activities should be executed.
     Activities representation.
 Estimating the resources, time, and cost of individual activities.
Planning requires a rigorous effort by the planning team. A planner should know the different categories of work and be familiar with the terminology and knowledge used in general practice. Also, the planning tem should seek the opinion of experts including actual construction experience. This helps produce a realistic plan and avoids problems later on site.

A Comparison on Strength Parameters of Different Types of Fibre Reinforced Concrete

  • Abstract

In this paper an undertaking is made to present the yielded consequences of a test assessment did on hairfibre made concrete and Machine fiber remained mindful of concrete. We have taken steel fiber from machine studio and hair fiber for this study. Fiber content was confined from 1%, 2%, 3% and 4% by weight of cement. Effects of the movement of these strands on the set properties of concrete were reviewed in M40 grade of concrete. The ascribes considered for appraisal are compressive strength, split moldable and flexural strength. States of size 150 mm for compressive strength; light radiations 100 mm x 100 mm x 500 mm for flexural strength; work environments of 150mm width and 300mm length for split affirmation, were used as express depictions. The out and out of the models were water lessened for 7, 14 and 28 days and attempted as fundamental.
